Do you have experience with local SEO?

I do, first hand at that. Like I said, I own a pest control company in Azle, Texas. I did just enough SEO on my pest control company to stay as busy as I like to be and still have plenty of time to work on my SEO company. My parents were entrepreneurs and owned a pest control company in Weatherford in the early 1990s, but my dad loved computers. 

So as I grew up in Fort Worth and Weatherford around computers and was there when the internet became a thing, I also grew up not being a stranger to small businesses, working with dad. I had a B&G sprayer in my hands by the time I was around 16. now at 44, I have learned a LOT about being an entrepreneur with a pest control service company of my own and getting that company noticed online.

What other SEO experience do you have?

In 2000, my parents opened a candle factory, manufacturing and selling scented candles in Granbury, Texas. I had just received my certification for my Cisco CCNA and my Microsoft MCP. In addition, I had opened a computer networking and consulting business upstairs of the Candle factory. 

  I built my parents their eCommerce website for the candle company, and it quickly started getting wholesale and fundraiser requests all over the country.

When I finished getting their website running and SEOed, I decided to build a website for other people to practice for their IT certification. After they hired Erin, my wife, we met, and I fell in love. That was it. I knew I had to be successful and build a website that would make plenty of money so I could spend all of my time with her. 

That was when I first got deep into SEO. I had that website bringing in 30,000 to 50,000 page views a month. It worked, and I got the girl. She joined me on the website pretty quickly, and she was good at it!

We made a perfect team and have for over 20 years now! We sold that website many years ago, did several more, but you are not here for our nerdy story, so I digress.

A college degree in SEO

My friend Randy showed me his smartphone a few years back, not long after smartphones came out. That moment I knew the world was changing, sitting in some hippy burrito place I was sold. I knew we had to get involved. 

What does this have to do with a college degree for SEO? Well, my wife and I decided we would go and get a college degree and learn how to make apps.

We knew it would be huge; even if the college laughed at us at the time, we chose computer science. So we followed along and did what we had to do only to finish and realize we missed out. 

College did not guide us in the right direction, with irrelevant (at the time) programming classes, and all the filler stuff, that by the time we finished, we realized that we missed the boat.

The market at that point was flooded with people that jumped in and learned how to build apps without college. We figured out the current trend in app development as fast as possible, and Erin even received certifications in cross-platform app development.

The point of this story is going to college for a fast-changing sector is a dangerous waste of time and opportunity. We have learned far more by staying current and teaching ourselves.

We had fun in school and did learn some cool stuff, but it isn’t essential in the grand scheme. We did go back to study cyber security, and we studied computer networking with Cisco. Erin went back again and studied graphic design. She gained a lot of knowledge from that that she uses every day.

That depends on what you want to be done.

We have a Weatherford SEO starter package that is $499.95 for businesses that already have a website and social media set up and want it looked over and improved upon.

With this starter package you will have access to us for 8 hours. We will analyze and show you what you can do for major improvements, then we will spend the rest of the day implementing and teaching you one on one.

For new businesses, or businesses established but needing something more serious, level 1 full SEO package runs $1,499, which includes creating a website if you don’t already have one.

That will consist of building you a Search Engine Optimized, fast loading, engaging website or optimizing your current site.

We will write or rewrite, (whichever is going to be better for results) over 5 pages, 1,000-2,000 words each page, of new, original, optimized content about your business and service area. 

Each page will have a lengthy article that search engines will love with straightforward H1 headings, and at least 10 to 20, sometimes up to up to 50 H2 headings and paragraphs in each article to get googles attention fast. 

These pages will be written with the help of Artificial Intelligence through reverse engineered search results.

Do I have to already have an online presence?

Absolutely not, for that same rate, we will take care of everything! The only thing you have to pay for is your domain and hosting, which typically runs about 10 to 20 dollars a month.

We will take care of everything involved in the online presence then hand you the keys with instructions if you don’t want us to keep maintaining and growing everything.

What if we just have a business idea?

You’d be surprised! I have sat down with clients for hours just to hash out their dream, basically business consulting at no extra charge!

Why are you so low cost compared to other Texas SEO companies?

We are fair though, any SEO client we bring on before the rate change will keep that rate for as long as they remain a client at least 2 months per year.

Does that include social media optimization?

If you are a local business, I will also set up or optimize a Google My Business (GMB) account. GMB gets you on google maps when someone searches for your local company). 

I will also set up or optimize a Facebook business page if it is not already done. I will also set up Google Analytics and search console, so we can watch and work with Google in the future to get the site ranking high on your business. 

You will be loaded with engaging content for your website and supporting content on all the major social media platforms.

What if I want more than the basic SEO package?

We can do more! I sell this service as packages and limit my quantity of clients to deliver the highest quality SEO. So if you want twice as much done, I can fill you in for double or triple, and I will double or triple the time I spend on yours. You can ramp up month one to be 5x. As long as I have the time availability, then you can have that. Then after month one, you can stay there or reduce to a 1x basic SEO package, which is still an insane value for what all work will be put into it.

Do you keep up with Google algorithm changes?

More than you can imagine, that is why I am doing this. One of the newest changes in Google is called page experience; it is all about what people do when they enter your site, how long they spend there, and what they do after your site. This is a huge decider for Google to rank you up or down. We keep that in mind in everything we do. 

We make the site fast and get feedback from Google to make sure it is fast enough. We also do a mobile-first design, we want it to look great on the phone, and then we make sure it will look great on a computer. 

We make sure your SEO’ed content is written well so that people will want to read more, even on boring topics. We take the top competition ranking in the top search results from around the country and locally and reverse engineer to figure out what got them on top and apply it; that’s a part of our secret sauce— and all plagiarism-free.

How long will it take to go live?

I strive to have the site up with content as soon as two weeks with the most critical tasks done, and by the month-end at the latest, all the tasks will be complete.

Lets suppose you already have a website that we can work with and social media already created. In that case, you will start seeing the new content posted, sometimes within the first day after I finish researching your business and business type and analyzing everything.

Do you do all SEO white hat?

I do everything white hat(within the rules, precisely, googles rules), but growth hacked nonetheless to make it grow fast and feasible. Our goal is quick results. But we follow the rules of Google. 

I have personally seen companies fall off of Google radar, literally blocked because they trusted someone to do things that weren’t playing by googles rules.

A significant example is a plagiarism, and one of the other big ones is buying links from unrelated sites or sites that do not hold a good authority in the topic of your business.

We do not do either. Never pay people to like your content; create content that people will like. Just have something built that people will enjoy; that is what I do.

Am I locked in an SEO Contract?

In my pest control business, I never promoted contracts. I grew up in Weatherford when it was still a small town, a time and place that a handshake meant everything. I will create a page of promised deliverables, and I will deliver on those promises. 

I’m not knocking contracts, but in my SEO company, it is the same. I will keep you at a set price every month. You pay the initial fee when I get started, and if you are happy, you continue paying, and I continue writing more content and optimizing.

The end result, I would like to get your site up to the top of the search results of every platform in your area or business type. But that will take consistency, and you have to be ready for that amount of business to come in. Once it starts, it is hard to slow it down. I learned this well, as my pest control business grew faster than I was ready. 

Are you accepting new SEO clients?

I am! Right now, my limit is just a few clients; that is so that I can focus well on those companies; I do not just sign up clients and outsource. I do not outsource one bit of my SEO work outside of our internal team.
